Online database resources for fruit and nut genomic, genetic and breeding research are presented, with a focus on TRIPAL databases that can be easily be implemented or expanded for other horticultural crops. In this presentation, the Genome Database for Rosaceae, the Citrus Genome Database, the Cacao Genome Database and the Genome Database for Vaccinium are used as examples, with a focus on their use for basic, translational and applied research studies. Current data and tools will be discussed as well as future development and the continued need for community support to enable access to these fundamental resources.
