Recent developments in the discovery of novel Neotyphodium endophytes from perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne) and tall fescue (L. arundinaceum) covering broad global diversity of symbiota will be described. Experimental approaches for their characterization including pangenome analysis and targeted metabolome profiling will be introduced.
