The Design Workshop and next steps in the development of the Arabidopsis Information Portal

A plan to develop the Arabidopsis Information Portal (AIP) is the critical next step for the IAIC. The AIP will be the underlying infrastructure of the IAIC and will dynamically interact with and link to many resources developed and distributed throughout the world.  The ‘Design Workshop’, held last month, brought together experts in biology and informatics to talk about the key components comprising the AIP and approaches for its development. The next steps in the process will be outlined including information on how community-developed modules can link to the AIP in the future.
