GDR, the Genome Database for Rosaceae (GDR, http://www.rosaceae.org) is a worldwide community resource for genomics and genetics research in Rosaceae.  Rosaceae includes many economically important crops such as Malus (apple), Prunus (peach, cherry and almond), Fragaria (strawberry), Pyrus (pear), Rosa (rose) and Rubus (blackberry, raspberry).   Whole genome sequences and annotation data are available for peach, apple, and strawberry.  SNP markers included in the apple, peach and cherry illumina SNP arrays can be searched, downloaded in excel and viewed in GBrowse.  The genome data is integrated with other existing data so that users can go back and forth from the marker page, EST page, or CMap page to GBrowse. More functionality and data have also been added to the breeder's toolbox, providing breeders with tools to efficiently manage and query their data. The updated Breeders toolbox allows users to search for varieties using molecular markers used for genotyping and molecular alleles as well as using variety names and traits. The toolbox also lets users to generate an input file for breeding software such as Pedimap. The new public breeding data includes those from RosBREED.
