International Wheat Genome Sequencing Consortium (IWGSC)

The IWGSC is leading the effort to develop a reference sequence of the large (17Gb), complex (hexaploid), bread wheat genome. This year's workshop will include a talk on the Emmer wheat sequencing project and other talks on the generation or use of wheat genomic resources. As usual, the workshop also will include a talk by an early career award recipient. This is given to a young scientist nominated by anyone in the wheat community and selected by the IWGSC leadership.
Date: Saturday, January 9, 2016
